Use keywords in your image alt tags.
Use keywords in your image filenames.
Use keywords in the surrounding page text. Relevant keywords in the 10 or so words before and after an image are especially effective.
Optimize the overall page for that keyword. Be sure to place the keyword in the page title, header tags, and inbound links.
Use keywords in the image title tags.

Changing Server for Website: Do’s & Don’ts

Dear Reader,

Recently I had a experience to change the server for well running ecommerce portal from one server to another server. It was the ecommerce portal which is generating above $70K Revenue per month.

We were considering about the change the server for better server & better hosting server option. But I was really worried about my page rank or any other services which should not be changed while transferring site from one server to another server.

Main thing to take care while transferring site from one server to another server  is DNS settings, yes … DNS Settings …. these setting should be remain same, there is not a problem in changing IP address of the website, but you should make any changes regarding DNS settings. this is really very important thing regarding changing web server.

In simple language, DNS settings worked as a layer or masking the IP address of any particular website and keeps the information same for search engines., so you can change your web servers or IP address any time whenever you wanted to do all these things.

Everybody wants to increase page of his website, … but how ? .. thats a question … everybody do links exchange, article submission, writing blogs.   and much more efforts like this.

yes you can do all this … but after doing lots of analysis. Analysis about from where you are getting inbound links. Is that website is related to your website contents theme. if not, then its not worth getting links from unrelated website.

SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION FACTORS FOR 2007

if you really wanna success for your Search engine optimization efforts, you have to take care of all these factors in the year 2007, as per my experience, whatever i have analyzed and researched about google’s new alogrythems these factors are :-

1. Accessibility: be sure to check your website’s broken links. if your site contains broken links, then i think .. there will be a great promblem regarding indexing of your website. return status code should be “200″ to the search engine spider.
2. Site Information: be sure whatever you are putting in meta tags , page has the related contents to these meta tags, specially the keywords in title tag, also place related link on that page, so you can drive visitors to related pages for more information. In these days google is using LSI concept for search queries.
3. Site Navigation: every page should be linked to atleast one static link, easily accessible web site map, you can create multiple sitemaps but place only 100 links per sitemap. sitemap.xml should be well placed in web master central.
4. WebMaster Central Setup: if you are managing website, you must aware on Google web master central, there you can instruct google for you website and also you can find how the google is crawling you website.
5. NON-WWW or WWW:  under webmaster central select one option, in which way you want to index your website in google, bcoz google treats them as two different domains.
6.  Robots.TXT: place robot.txt file, where you can instruct the googlebot not to index the part of your website which is not for client use. this will save the spider’s visiting time and helpfull to index other pages.
7. Authorization: if your website requires login info, then please your information before login , which googlebot can index easily.
8. Header Parameters: if you are running dynamic website, do not pass lots of header parameters
9. URLS: donot use long urls, and use directory structure for URL’s , you can use URL rewrite concept for URL’s to convert the dynamic URL’s into Static URL’s
10. Blog Integration:  integrate blog with your website to spread you centents or RSS Feeds
11. W3C Validations: your website should be W3C validated. you can use this
12. Inbound Links: Most important to get inbound links from related websites.
